You travel from Marrakech to the Imlil village, a popular starting point for many treks across the Atlas Mountains. When you get to Imlil, you will meet your group guide, cook and muleteers – at that point you begin your day 2 trek immediately towards Tizi Mzzik pass, then down into the Azzaden valley where you will go through the night in a little Berber village. You go down the valley to get Ouirgane which will be your last destination.

This two-day trek enables you to find exceptionally delightful places in the Atlas area and think about the day by day life of the local people…

Itinerary

Day 1Imlil through Tizi M'zzik to Tizi Oussem

It is a five hours trek that begins from Imlil valley to the Mountain pass Tizi M’zzik 2540m. You walk down into the awesome valley of Azzaden. You go through the night in Tizi Oussem village (gite). A side excursion to the Ighouliden waterfalls is accessible after lunch.

Day 2Tizi oussem through Tiziane via Azerfsane then Tassa Ouirgane to Ouirganecentre

Leaving Tizi Oussem, be prepared for a downhill walk driving through nature reserve protecting the Barbary sheep. Lunch will be served at a stop off on the way to Tassa Ouirgane. After walking for 90 minutes through olive groves and numerous Berber villages, you will eventually arrive at the centre of Ouirgane.
