After breakfast, we transfer from Marrakech to Tabant (1850 ms), the administrative center Ait Bou Gemez and the venue for the Sunday market of the broad, fertile valley of the area. Upon arrival, we enjoy a break for our Picnic lunch before travelling east, hiking up the valley to the close-by town of Ait Imi (1900 m). The latter, where we will spend our first night, is the start of the climb to the Tizi N’Ait Imi Pass (2905m).
day our trek includes a steep ascent to Ait Imi Pass, following a wide mule path, which leads south. We pass by Arhbalou N’Ait Imi Springs 2100m and keep on ascending steeply up the mountainside. The terrain is loose screen, making it rather troublesome. After a break on the top, we pursue the path downhill into the Assif M’Goun valley until we touch base at the remote town of Talat Rirhan, our last destinationl. We spend the night lodging or tenting.
The present trek is 6 hours strolling journey. We begin by Mgoun Gorges; we proceed with our stroll in the river along the Mgoun valley. We spend the night in a Berber house at Imi N Irekt (1900 m).
It is 5 hours walk. After breakfast, we leave Imi N Irekt towards Aguérzka. We spend the night in a Berber house or in a camp at Aguerzga (1800 m).
We set off for El Hot at (1600 m). We go through the southern area of Mgoun and volcanic mountains with some Ksours. The trek takes 5 hours.
We set out to Boutaghrar, where we meet with our Land Rover/minibus to come back to Marrakech. En route, we go through Kelaa Mgouna and Ouarzazate and visit Ait Ben Haddou. We spend the night at the hotel.
