The imperial cities of Morocco are the four historical capital cities of Morocco: Fez, Marrakesh, Meknes and Rabat (the current capital of Morocco).
We will welcome you and assist you with your luggage at the airport, followed by a sightseeing tour of Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital. We will visit the exterior of the Hassan II Great Mosque, one of the greatest monuments in Islamic World, followed by a visit to Mohammed V Square, the United Nations Square, and the Royal Palace surroundings, before walking along the Ain Diaconicon. Independent lunch at your choice restaurant (suggestions will be given) We will then drop you off at the hotel for a rest and pick you up from the hotel for our departure at 8 am. Departure for Rabat, Morocco’s administrative capital. We’re going to visit the splendid Mohammed V Mausoleum in Rabat, the Hassan Tower and the Oudayas Square. Check-in at your hotel late in the afternoon, dinner and overnight stay.
We will leave for Fès after breakfast with a stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the sacred city of Moulay Idriss I, where the founder of Islam is buried in Morocco. Independent lunch and departure from Meknès, founded by Moulay Ismail at the end of the 17th century and known as the “Moroccan Versailles.” Bab Mansour, Hari Souani and the old medina will be among the highlights. We will then continue to your hotel in Fès and check-in. Dinner and stay for the night.
The entire day will be devoted to the sightseeing of Fès, Morocco’s oldest cultural and spiritual imperial city, founded by Moulay Idriss II in 790 B.C. Highlights will include the medieval Medina, the Madressa (Islamic University of Teaching), the El Qaraouiyyin Mosque and the sumptuous Nejjarine Fountain. Independent lunch followed by a visit to the “Arabian House” to watch various craftsmen perform their ancient practices-reminiscent work. Dinner and stay at the hotel overnight
We will leave for Marrakech after breakfast, passing by Immouzer El Kander and Azrou, a Berber village known for its commercial crafts. We’re going to continue this scenic drive through the beautiful, wooded mid-Atlas mountain region. Upon arrival in Beni-Mellal, before continuing to Marrakech, we will have an independent lunch. The hotel check-up. Dinner and stay for the night.
Marrakech, the second oldest imperial city known as the “Pearl of the South” and home to the Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace and the Menara Gardens, will be devoted to the sightseeing morning. We’ll be back for lunch at the hotel. The afternoon will be spent discovering the souk and the world’s famous place of Djemaa el Fna with its various entertainments such as tales’ teller, gymnasts, snake charmers, illusionists, Fantasia etc. Later, a dinner will be provided under caudal tents at the famed Restaurant “Chez Ali”. Enjoy the fantasia spectacle that features camel and horse shows, folkloric troops from different Moroccan regions and belly dancers. Return to the hotel and overnight stay
The morning is free for recreation, personal exploration or relaxation. Lunch is independent. In the afternoon, we will leave via Settat to Casablanca.
