Compared to Toubkal zone, the Mgoun Massif, which is at the core of the High Atlas, is altogether different in nature and in the travel industry. It is a wild trekking territory which doesn’t many gatherings and accordingly has a simplistic vacationer framework. Its high point, Jebel M’goun over is 4oooms, the second-most astounding peak in north Africa, it is generally disintegrated with sandstones and limestone. In any case, the territory includes bright and sensational canyons isolating high and exciting edges and slopes. What’s more, in numerous parts the landscape it is progressively wonderful with more vegetation and increasingly prosperous wide valleys punctured with water system channels. Our trek is a high circuit in the Central Atlas, which begins from the lovely valley of the Ait Bougemez. We drive from Marrakech to the Middle Atlas town of Azilal. From here, we take the mountain course, opening the way (by means of Ait Mehammed) to the Bou Guemez valley. We stop at Agouti, the principal town toward the start of the valley, to enjoy a break at a guesthouse before strolling to our camp.
This morning we will walk up with the trail passing from the village of Arous to Ikiss n Arouss overnight at the camp site.
Today includes a very long stroll of about 8 hours, which is somewhat testing while at the same time climbing Aghouri Mountain. Across the Aghouri go at 3,450m, we descend to the breeze dissolved level of Tarkedit (2,900m). After lunch, we climb toward the southern side of the level and set up a camp at 3,400m, specifically beneath M’goun western region.
Today we begin our rising to the summit of Jebel M’goun(4,068m). The climb, which ordinarily takes somewhere in the range of 4 and 5 hours to the summit, is very troublesome at certain points. From the top, you get alluring views over the Draa valley and towards the Sahara Desert toward the south. We enjoy a break and grab the chance to take vital photos, then we slip to our camp in Oulilimt, where we touch base after strolling an additional 4 hours.
It is a 5hours strolling trek, through which we stroll down the valley into Ain Aflafal and to Tighermet n’ ait Ahmed, our camp for the night.
After breakfast, rather than travelling north-east towards Talat Righane, we bear left (north-west) past the azibs into a little valley where the trail drives west. The col towards which we are trekking, Tizi n’Ait Imi(2960m), is obviously noticeable toward the west. When we each the col, we can look across both the M’goun and Ait Bou Guemez valleys. After a break, we descend steeply straight down the mountainside towards Ait Bou Guemez, from where we drive back to Marrakech.
