We begin our day trip from Marrakech through numerous Berber villages towards the Western High Atlas Mountains, one of the magnificent areas in Morocco. We trek from the high valley of Imlil, the takeoff points for treks to mount Toubkal and other alluring spots. We keep heading along Aït Mizane Valley to visit a Berber village, overlooking ancient irrigated terraced farming of trees and vegetables. After we have gotten over Tiz M’zzik Mountain pass (2450m), we plunge to Tizi Oussem village for the night. On day 2, we Travel down to the Assif Azzaden Valley, going through a few Berber hamlets and up to the Tizi Oudite pass and down to the village of Aguersiouâl.
Enjoy your lunch by the river before you set for one more hour up the Imlil valley prior to get back to the village of Imlil and exchange back to Marrakech.
After breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel at 9;00 am. We drive towards the high Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya and Asni, enjoying the attractive view of the villages along the way. We arrive at Imlil (65km from Marrakech), a decent and green valley set at the foot of Mount Toubkal, you meet the guide and muleteer and afterward begin the trek by hikeing Tizi Mzik pass (2684m), where you get a spectacular view over Imlil valley and Toubkal Summit. You go down to Tamsoulte to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains (100m/h), down the Azzaden valley through the juniper forestry to get to Tizi Oussem village. Here you complete your first-day voyage of 6hrs walking and go through the night at the Guesthouse.
After you have breakfast, you take a couple of minutes to appreciate the daylight in this vivid valley and its sublime typical Berber villages, leave Tizi Oussem and proceed down to Id Issa village, before going to Tizi Oudid mountain pass (2000m), cross matat village after a wild thurifer juniper forest, eat under walnut groves and unwind close to the river. Toward the evening, we return to Marrakech (arrive approx 17h) 5hrs
