Not only is the camel trekking a fun activity for travelers, but also a part of the tradition of the country, as nomads have utilized camels as a means of transport for centuries. Trekking by camels is an enjoyable and a one of a kind experience. The most famous camel trekking experience is a journey into the Sahara Desert. Traveling by camel on the edge of a dune in the late evening with nothing around you except for sand, peaceful climate and open blue sky, must be experienced and cannot be explained. Camping in an ideal area and sitting on the dunes to watch a remarkable nightfall and a clear sky with splendid stars around evening time is a standout amongst the most energizing encounters that guests will always remember. There are diverse day treks that guests can continue, going from one day undertakings to eight days, the adventure depends totally on the guest’s inclinations.
You arrive at Marrakech or Ouarzazate air terminal then exchange to a hotel in the down village city center.
After breakfast, we travel down via Tizi n’Tichka pass 2260m towards Ouarzazate, the passage to the desert. We visit the well-known Glaoui Kasbah of Telouet, and then we proceed to Agdz and Zagora. At long last, we touch base at Faija, where we camp. The voyage covers a distance of 400 kms (with breaks).
After breakfast, we begin our 6 hours walking trek on the desert plateau and pass the farms at the foot of djebel Bani. We ascend the well-known pass Oum Laachar that will take you to Oued Lemhasser.
We leave Oued Lemhasser and walk towards the wonderful dunes of Chegaga, where we touch base after a trek of around 6 hours, covering 20 kms. We camp in the base of the dunes.
The present trek includes 5 hours walking and a distance of 16 kms. We leave the Chegaga Dunes making a beeline for the appealing dunes of Bougern, where we go spend the night at the camp in the core of the desert.
We leave the Bougarn Dunes and begin our 6 hours walking trek towards Oued Naam, where the camp will be set up.
Leaving Oued Naam, we come back to Zagora via the Mhamid Dunes and finally transfer back to Marrakech, where we touch base after driving driving 8 hours (with breaks).
