Erg Chebbi is a dune field of about 22 Km from north to south and about 5 Km from east to west at the widest point. The highest dune is 884 m and it is in the north. Among the dunes, there are a few desert oases and you can easily get water just by digging a bit.

Itinerary

Day 1Imlil to Dades Valley

You leave Marrakech at 9.00am and take off over the Atlas Mountains, rolling over Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass. En route, You go through heaps of Berber villages, and you can either enjoy a break and visit the Ouarzazate Film Studios or stop for a climb. When you reach Dades Gorge, you have the choice of going for a climb or unwinding at your hotel. Medium-term in Dades. (Absolute driving time 6hours)

Day 2Dades Valley through Todra pig out to Merzouga

After breakfast, we exchange from the Dades Valley to Todra Gorges, which ascend to 300 meters in a thin valley with palmeries and Berber villages. Here, we can go for a climb to explore the palmery, a green desert garden loaded with huge date palms. After lunch, we are grabbed to the portal village of Merzouga to get supplies for our desert trip. From that point, we specifically set for a Kasbah to get our camels. At dusk, you begin 90 minutes camel ride to a Berber camp where you appreciate a conventional Moroccan supper and rest under the stars or in tents at a desert camp. (Complete driving time 5hours)

Day 3Merzouga to Ait Benhaddou

You get up early to appreciate the beauty of the desert dawn and then return to the Kasbah by camel. You will at that point get an opportunity to freshen yourselves up and appreciate a delightful breakfast. Afterwards, you head out the desert for a drive to Ait Benhaddou, which is an antiquated fortified city containing a lot of kasbahs and has been a standout amongst the best-chosen spots for Hollywood motion pictures (The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander, Lawrence of Arabia…). Your guide will assist you in exploring the district while walking around the buildings. You go spend the night in an inn near Ait Benhaddou. (Total driving 5-6 hours).

Day 4Ait Benhaddou to Marrakech

You travel along the Ounilla Valley to the Telouet Kasbah, a disintegrating kasbah that was at one time an important stop for traders. You explore the Kasbah and after that after lunch, you exchange back over the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass to Marrakech. (All out driving time 4 hours).
