The Agafay Desert is only an hour’s drive from Marrakech, it is possible that you may begin it from the bustling souks, Majorelle Garden, or the Koutoubia Mosque and the core of the city. The Agafay Desert is an ideal one-day trip for individuals who don’t have enough time to visit different places in Sahara Desert like Merzouga, M’hamid or Zagora amid their get-away in Morocco.
The Agafay Desert doesn’t offer a similar view in all seasons. The scene is covered with wheat, barley and flowers. However, in summer and autumn, it’s dunes flow revering dunes and the bonus of grand High Atlas Mountain views nestled behind it. In spring Agafay offers wildflowers among other vegetation which make it a scenic experience.
3 Hours Before Flight Time
leaving Marrakech at 9h00, we drive for 30mn to get to the Village of Tafrashte. Here you can pick up the camels and begin a 2 to 3 hours trek to the Luxury camp where you will go spend the night.
During the morning, you unwind in the camp. After lunch, we return to Marrakech with a 4×4.
